| Went to the kick off meeting for this today, all good Nice to see lots of people from Thames21, London Wildlife Trust etc plus Martin Salter, Will Barnard and Keith Arthur for us anglers. Looking at expanded event with more activities both on the river, along Strand on the Green and at other locations on the day. Fishing wise, depending on the interest it will be over an A & B venues, second venue is in discussion but maybe Barnes due to good access and parking. Early days but looking forward to it already. Keep the date free for a decent day out and a competitive fish if you fancy it. Last years is here https://t-a-c.forumotion.com/t3152-tidefest-match-28th-september-kew?highlight=Tidefest | |

| Tidefest 2015 is on Sunday 20th September - http://thamestidefest.net/There are still places available for the Tidefest match. You can buy tickets from Ron’s Tackle, 465 Upper Richmond Rd West, London SW14 7PU
Tel: 020 8876 4897 or email sandra.drew@anglingtrust.netIf you're in any doubt here's a new video all about it: https://youtu.be/DL52n_X4C-kThe Thames area fisheries officers from the EA are coming along to staff a marquee with a fish tank and display material. We need a couple of TAC volunteers to assist on the stall as the EA will be short handed and also need to go down onto the foreshore to help with the seine netting. We could make it a joint TAC/ EA marquee. We also need a hand getting the posters and programmes into local libraries, leisure centres and other venues. Can anyone could help with distribution? Martin Salter will be at Kew Bridge on Wednesday to take collection from the printers and could arrange a drop off. | Good stuff chaps, great work I must make the effort to fish this next year as when I lived in Barnes I fished all the way through this section. Wonderful to see some good weights returned and decent roach, dace and bream. Ian | |
