Invitation to the 2018 Eel forum ~ 15th October

We’re approaching the last 6 weeks of monitoring the eel migration- last day is 30th September. I assume that as I’ve not heard from most of you for a while things are okay at your sites? The torrential downpours of late have taken their toll on a few sites with traps being damaged but data is still coming into us and is suggesting that we are going to see a strong end to the season with numbers coming up at some sites.

Here is the registration for the 2018 Eel Forum which is set to take place on the morning of October 15th. I’m aware that I’ve made no changes to the format so I hope there is enough there to sustain the interest of volunteers that have been with us for a few years - amazingly, some as long 8 years! Please do invite all volunteers that have taken part in the monitoring this year. We sincerely hope that everyone can join us. As with previous years we will be circulating a report on the project in November but this is the main way that we can feedback the data that you have all collected over the past 5 months and thank everyone properly for their efforts.
