| I can confirm the Fishing Shack, a few hundred yards towards Egham from Thorpe Lee fishery, is up and running. Mark and Jeff (I think, but I've got a dreadful memeory for names) are very friendly, up for a chat and sell a good pint or several of maggots, wide range of other baits and a decent selection of tackle from their little shed. They're doing OK (gone a bit quiet recently) but do need support from anglers, especially as they were burgled a few months back and have had to seriously upgrade their security as well as bear significant losses insurers won't cover. So if you're heading to Thorpe/Twynersh or Thames around Runnymede to Chertsey, do consider spending some of your cash there. - Paul Snell wrote:

I'm pretty certain it's gone west (metaphorically, not moved to Windsor) as I regularly drive past it - don't always crane my neck round to see their unit - and not once seen it open in well over a year. It's now re-emerged as the Fishing Shack, open Saturdays and Sundays 10am-4pm for sale of tackle and bait (including maggots), according to information my wife found on a local information web site. I've seen the board outside, but not had a chance nor reason to visit it yet, but have found this Facebook page:

Very handy for Thorpe Lee & Twynersh and not too bad for Runnymede-Staines-Chertsey reaches of the Thames if you don't fancy risking the trafic wardens outside Davies Tackle or want to avoid Staines Bridge (depending on your origin/destination). | |

| Isleworth Angling & Tackle are having an Opening Ceremony tomorrow Sat 15th June We have an opening ceremony for the shop on Saturday 15th. There will free food between 12pm and 2pm for customers. Due to the river season starting on the 16th and also being fathers day. I will be giving 10% off on all purchases over £50. So for everyone looking to give something special to dads, you know where to go.https://www.facebook.com/Isleworthangling/posts/2225670167551758I cycled past early on Tuesday, the shutters were still closed but it's 2 doors down from Mario's Fish & Chip shop if you know that. | |

| Just popped into Isleworth Tackle shop. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of tackle and bait and good prices. They are still stocking with match fishing stuff which suits my style of fishing. I will definitely go back. Nice to see more local tackle shops. | |
