| Nice one chaps.
Be great to see as many of you down there on the 28th, it is always a great social event as well. I know it's the first day of the draw off but that lasts a month.

| Dave and I checked out the area today, we will set up just upstream of the ferry, by the "sundial" area. (approx. opposite the Bell Inn) about 200yards upstream from the car park. | |

| We've got a plug in Anglers Mail today, quite prominent red box in bottom-right corner of the page - except there's a slight printing mistake - it reads "Saturday 28th October" - oops! Have updated our website with Sunday in RED. | |

| No problems mate, I know how much you have going on. Folks you be amazed just how it all stacks up with constant meetings and running around, mind boggling at times. Should be fun on Sunday and hope to see lots of you there, if anything for a social catch up. If you are bringing any juniors down then there is a EA supplied goodie bag. We have 2 EA/ADB coaches on hand, Jeff and Neil PAC & TAC and Mark Anderson a Pike on fly expert. Jeff is bringing down his huge lure collection, and it is huge. We will be doing our best to have live Pike to show but conditions at present are not ideal but fingers crossed. There maybe a late shout for some help on Saturday but awaiting an update. Looking forward to it | |

Happy to have the boat on standby Dave. I'm rubbish at catching pike but could take out a couple of anglers that can.

| Cheers Ken
We need a boat hand for tomorrow at around 8am. Jeff Kennet is out catching the live Pike and has had one so far, good news given the condition.
We have a cage net in water which the Pike are being held in overnight but needs moving upstream first thing.
Jeff will put his boat in and take it down to pick up the Pike but we need a second person to help. Please post up on here, lifejacket supplied.
I will be down there form 7.30.
Cheers | |

| Dave if it makes it easier for Jeff I can bring mine down to the lock and meet him there. Is already in the water so ....
Either way, I can be his boat hand no problem.

| For those that want their scales checked, we've got certified weights we're bringing down from 1lb up to 51lb and a weigh tripod. So remember those scales | |

| Thanks especially to Jeff, Neil, EA coaches Phil and Ian, and Mark (who is from ZIMBABWE not SA!) and everyone else who helped out and made it a successful day. Here are some pictures - I somehow didn't take any of our tent area with flags and adverts, but it was fairly eye-catching and manned by an eloquent Crazy Crab. Neil demonstrating how it's done Gill rakers Teeth Lure talk Mark trying to get Jeff to improve his fly casting technique Andy (?) of Surbiton Angling coaching Matthew in the fine art of fly casting | |
