| Fishing Unlimited in East Molesey will be closing down within 2 weeks. The owners of the property want him out, Dale is hoping to relocate to Wallington. Its a shame he is a good bloke. | |

| He had it up for sale for 2 years but the lack of parking would've made it a silly proposition for anyone.
As you say Glyn, nice bloke. Good luck to Dale, I hope things work out for him.

| Thats a shame i dont think it was the parking maybe lack of stock, which is difficult as it costs a fortune to have stock sitting there to give people a good range of options....
Tackle exchange in Walton is very good if you need a local place to go to.

| Indeed it is a shame Dale is relocating, nice guy and also good for finding a bargain. Popped in there the other day and grabbed a couple of bits
For those who don't know Tackle Fanatics has also closed and relocating to the industrial estate near to Chessington South Station.

| Shepperton angling in Nursery Road is closing down. Big sale tomorrow (Sat) if any one wants a bargain. He says the wet winter and floods have destroyed trade. | |

| On a good note. There is a new tackle shop that has opened up on the Kingston Road, Ewell. KT19 0BS right next to the new Aldi. He's mainly selling second hand gear aswell as bait, although just not maggots yet, but he hopes to have them soon. It's a bit sparse there, but early days. He's the chap that ran the 'new' Fishing Unlimited in Hampton Court that shut last year. He's not the ''colourful' owner that ran the original Fishing Unlimited next to the petrol station in Hampton Court!!! I wish him all the best and it's great to see a new shop opening. | |

| That's great news, glad he is sticking at it. He often used to have great second hand gear in the old shop, hope he does well at the new premises. | |

| Many of you will know Gerry's in Wimbledon. Popped in there on Friday and the young lad working there said they are closing at the end of Feb. Also have a 30% sale on at the moment.
Another one bites the dust..

| Two weeks before Christmas I was greeted in my tackle shop Bowlers of Dagenham that they were to close after 50 years of trading.Merv the owner a good friend of over 25 years said he was retiring and he could no longer substain in buisiness. The 3 employees working there were out of a job.The tackle shop was a legend in Essex and Mark Noble of the Hammers bought his bait and gear there along with many top Essex matchmen,I will miss the banter which went on when I shopped there. Its a big premises and I understand it will become a Eastern Europeon supermarket,a sign of the times I guess. Its getting really difercult to obtain fresh bait, and a lot of matchmen are now getting there Live bait through the post. | |
