| we normally attend these surveys, but due to a mix up with dates, we mainly missed 'em this time
every year at richmond, kew, chiswick and battersea, the EA net the river, the idea is to catch the smaller fish, record the size and identify them, no easy feat when they can look like an eyelash
the guys'n'gals that do this work welcome anglers attending, so everyones gutted about the mix up
anyways wednesday evening we found out that following day they were at chiswick, a TAC rep popped down to assist and bang the TAC drum the results were uninspiring, an odd dace and bream, plenty of finger nail sized flatties, and some mahoosive shrimps other volunteers attending included the fella from the ZSL whose responsible for the eel trap at teddington and some bods from one of londons universities

That's a massive contrast from what we saw last year Jim, as you know. Do you know if that is the same in all the sites? Did they put it down to anything? | |

| It would be nice if they could do one at hammersmith. Kew and Chiswick are more or less the same place, and between Chiswick and Battersea, you have Berverly brook, The Wandle and Chelsea Creek coming in, I know its nit picking but the problem area seems to be between Barnes and Putney where the river loops around. Maybe next year? | |

| dunno why these areas are chosen james, but know they've been doing'em at these sites for yonks, consistency is paramount I suppose | |

| Have to agree, same areas so they get consistent results. What we will find out is just what damage 6th June and since has done.
