Anyone know where we can see flow data for the Thames? I've read there's 13 gauging stations but can't find the realtime data.

We've got a link on our home page to levels but unless I'm being daft I can't find flow rates anywhere..

By the fact lock keepers keep levels fairly constant, levels aren't always a true guide of flow.

Obviously, anyone after barbel would get a lot out of flow rates.

Hi Steve, can't say about every where, but at Walton the flow is easing off. Fished today and had plenty of silvers, plus a Bream of 7lbs 6ozs. It dropped about a foot altogether today. I fished a stick float about a rod and half out, an amazing day.Hope that helps a bit.Roger F

Thanks Neil but that's not the one I was thinking of.

That site is good but I thought I saw once the flow data from the 13 Thames gauging stations (Walton and Kingston included which are my home stretches really). From that you can assess the exact flow and if it's gaining/decreasing. Massive relevancy to barbel and to some extent roach fishing for when it starts to slow back down - pike too.

I've found plenty of historic data but it's the realtime of course that we need - just thought it'd be useful for some of the lads on here.

I may have imagined it Laughing

Not sure I have ever seen realtime data, would be good to have though.

I use the same as Neil, tells in basic terms if the river is really running. If you watch the yellows and reds appear upstream, then you know what is coming.

For me in the winter, river temp is something I take as often as possible, that would be great to have online.
