Tuesday, 17 October 2017 from 10:00 to 14:00 (BST)Monitoring stops at the end of September so we’re into the final two months of season now and, as with every year, the data you have gathered is fascinating and at some sites perplexing.
We’ve seen a very large increase in numbers coming through the pass at Lea Bridge with over half of all eels monitored showing up at that site. These figures are as of the end of last week – if you have your own site records and notice any anomalies please let me know?

We’ve put together a cracking line up for this year’s Eel Forum including news on significant work to improve the Thames region for eel and also insights into eel conservation work going on across Europe and further afield. It’s our opportunity to properly thank you for all you efforts over the season so we hope as many of you can make it as possible. If you can, please register on this Eel Forum Link
https://2017eelforum.eventbrite.co.uk/. Once registered you’ll receive joining details nearer the time.
If you can’t make it you’ll be able to get an overview of the data and wider work in the Thames region in our annual Eel Project Report which should be out in November.
All best, Joe
