Great that Stu from the EA could spare his time for us again. He's a really good friend of the club and being a Thames Fisheries Officer means he has insight that we haven't.

Duncan captured the theme of angling with friends and the tribute to Rich, superbly. I've never heard another presenter show love for angling on the Thames as much as Duncan did last night. Nice one to Ash for all the input behind the scenes. The Thames tench, Thames carp and Thames zander records between the two of them...great to have them share their dedication.

Duncan's talk was from the heart, inspiring. He came across as a man who totally loves his fishing.
It didn't end until after 11pm, but I was still wide awake when I got home after midnight.
Really good, don't know what we can possibly do for next year.

I don't think Bill is on the forum yet but hopefully will join soon.
He has been a member since the very beginning of the TAC and has "previous" as secretary of Godalming AC.

He was also on the committee, possibly chairman, of Chertsey Road AC and I believe he is currently involved with Godalming AC.

We were approached by Bill on the night for the treasury position as anyone could have done, to date interestingly that is the first time there has been any approach, in nearly 5 years.

Bills experience is going to be invaluable with his knowledge of fishing organisations, plus is a qualified coach, good news. He has known Jeff Kennet since he was a youngster, he lives in Sunbury, fishes the Thames so all good, pleased to have him involved TAC AGM Tuesday 27th May 7:30 pm - Duncan Green on Thames Carp - Page 2 3927873466

Tuesday night was tough for a number of reasons, not only organising the event which with very little time on my hands, takes some doing. Plus always a tadge nervous how it will go, will anyone turn up , you did and thank you.

And of course being somewhat of a tribute night to Richard, always tinged with sadness but we did him proud.

Don't suppose anyone filmed Duncan's talk? Really gutted I missed it. :-(

Great night, big thanks and well done to everyone involved, Duncan's talk/photos have got me chomping at the bit to get back on the river, obviously understandably nervous at the beginning but soon got into the flow (excuse the pun!), quote of the night has to be 'the Thames is my Amazon' Very Happy

Sorry Ben, we did discuss filming it at the last minute, but the conclusion was that without some proper lighting and microphones it was going to be a waste of time. We will get Duncan & Ash's the photo montage uploaded though.

At the meeting it was mentioned that Stu Keable's slides might be made available. Is this still the case? There was some very interesting stuff there.

Yes we've got a copy actually, I'm pretty sure it's OK to post them up, for forum members only at least.
If I make them in to a .pdf that should work for most people I think.
