| finally the roding has lowered so we could do our kick sampling at our 2 sites
johns stretch stanford rivers actual count 3 minute kick sample
6 mayfly 14. standard olive 5 caseless caddis 11 waterfleas
site 2 mitchells farm actual count 3 minute kick sample
29 mayfly 8 water fleas 1 caseless caddis 11 standard olives
bullheads , stoneloach and minnows caught. lots of flies and creatures not on our list caught. no crayfish caught however under 40mm we return them as they are fish food when small | |

| yes will you can hardly hear the M25 from these stretches! more likely to see a deer, kingfisher before another angler this time of year. | |

| Cheers Col & Mike, good work chaps Myself, Willie, Will M, at Kingston first thing, Ed and Matthew came to see what was going on as well, thanks all results: Cased caddisfly - 70 Caseless caddisfly. - 0 Mayfly - 2 Blue winged olive - 0 Flat bodied up wings. - 0 Olives (baetidae) - 0 Stone flies. - 0 Gammarus 100+ Willie and me at Aragon Cased caddisfly - 30 Caseless caddisfly. - 0 Mayfly - 4 Blue winged olive - 0 Flat bodied up wings. - 0 Olives (baetidae) - 0 Stone flies. - 0 Gammarus 40 No Baetidae or Blue Winged, must have been a big hatching and the Cased Caddis were biggest size yet. | |

| Went to Dumsey Meadow today (sunday) full of fisherman all way down stretch so couldn't survey .
Thursday 30th August, finally got to Dumsey Meadow, no fishermen and no rain just VERY cold !

| Out this morning with Colin, Keith and Jack.
Managed to sample Chertsey and Silversands, will post the results up later.
I headed down to Hampton Court after but was not great due to the high turbid water. Didn't go to Kingston as the deepest spot we sample and not worth the risk.
Will try again next weekend.
Seems a long time since we were talking about the drought. | |

| Paul and me done some kicking at sayes court, the river Bourne, Addlestone, 1100hrs, the results are quite good Shrimp. b Mayfly. b Cased caddis. b caddis a a = 1 -10 b = 11 - 100 the water was a bit high, mideum to fast, 18" deep, gravel, no weeds we had 2 big mayfly the shrimp were big, would have lokked nice on a size 18 semee barbed hook with a 6Ib chub on the end | |
