| we've been here before, improving the spawning channel, [keith checks it every week], litter picking, dealing with the tree surgeon remains, building beetle log stacks and improving the swims
this trip should be the last of the close season, except for keith, we'll be finishing of the swim improvements, pruning the overhanging trees so tackle isn't caught up, we'll have a boat on hand, ladders and pruning equipment, as well as clearing the paths of encroaching vegetation
as usual post your interest on 'ere, and if you've any kit you can bring with you, it'll come in handy
time wise, we'll be there from 0800hrs till lunchtime ish

| a big up to pauly 2 cups for offering to lob the boat in the back of his van some of the steely sixteen will be getting stuck in to prune the branches and we'll have the long reach hedge trimmer to deal with the paths
and who knows, maybe we'll see the chub in the spawning channel | |

| I have one of those telescopic pruner things from Wickes which can reach up about 12' and snip small-medium branches. | |

| Nice one Keith. They managed to speak English well enough to apply for the license...
I had a fun morning pruning, litter picking and searching for "lost" children! We collected probably 1 1/2 sackfuls of litter plus a "Tow Path Closed Diversion" road sign from the river. Keith collected another 1/2 bag so +2 bags on the running total.

| thanks to everyone that turned up, we truly got stuck in today keith regarding the picture taker, dont hassle the council or anyone else, everything we did today was agreed by the EA a couple of weeks ago, let her waste her time m8, the land belongs to the EA, so is of no legal concern to anyone else however taking pictures of children is, perhaps this resident needs to be made aware of this legal requirement | |

| I will go into my local police office and inquire about the lady taken photies of miners without parents permission, as she took some of my son, as for the council, i will not do anything, but look what happen at Hampton court, they tried to ban fishing opposite their homes, all it takes is one person to complain then the poo hits the fan, information gained now, saves a lot of time later on, | |

| nice one keith, fair play if she's taking pics of your kid and others, that'll learn'er when it comes to the fishing, its on the weir ticket, you've more chance of stopping hydropower or thames waters continual pollution, than getting angling banned on there we'll encounter many more riverside residents who having bought their property, then decide to tell people they cant fish from the opposite bank, last year another woman adopted the same approach near molesey lock, her picture taking and shouting across the river amounted to nothing, as is always the case | |

| went to the hook to do my duty, saw 6 very, very big chub, on the brigde, you can just see one this time where the small breeding steam starts, it was full off small fish, the water is gin clear, infect, properly drinkable, any voliteers the entrance is very clear talking to the lock keeper, there is going to be a few fisher persons there thursday, so it might be a case of first come first call, he said people have beed pre feeding some of the locations should be fun | |
