The main abstraction is below at Sunbury Walton, looks very wrong.

There's a massive one couple hundred yards below Penton Hook lock aswell mate - reckon it could be that one sucking our river dry at Crab's Island. | |

| They will take it sadly, or else we aint gonna have anything to drink next year. Saw it quoted as an Environmental Drought, and they are saying if this winter is very dry, read 1976 or worse. Another secret, will be the biggest impact of any kind.

| I went and had a look around 3/4 ago, river was very low, went to most of locations where people used to fish, no signs of any one fishing, this is the highist I have seen it in 5 months, so there might be some people fishing this weekend, might have a go tomorrow | |

| went down to me island and gave it a spring clean, ie, sweeped aclean all fishing platforms, no rubbish on island, cleaned and moved all dead flowers and things from from 1st platform see earlier pics, now a fishing platform, sweeped all bridges of leaves, speaning channel is a bit blocked in places, see pic, on the 12th December some local helpers are going to clean things up on there, no other info as of yet got this from John the lock keeper, the EA Licence cheakers were there Saterday, for those people who do not belive me, as per one of my ealior post about them turning up, and sirton people not beliving me, please fill free to ring John the Lock keeper, a few more big barbal have been cought, 10Ib plus a few pics of the channel, it will need a major clean up | |

No parking at the lock, in Beech Tree Lane or Thameside - they are Private roads, thats why they have put up barriers, its a case of finding a space in any one the local side roads, but if you have a blue badge, you can park at the lock

| had a look around, water is a brawny color, 3" see , found some nannofil line , around 6' of it on one of the fishing platforms, some one must have some money to though away | |

| just been down there, channel nice and clean, lots of small chub at top end of channal, around 3 to 4" long, rummer has it from some-one who lives from no-were, never seen before, for-got his/her name, I had me back to them all the time, said, that 2 persosn from the EA around 2(ish) days ago where looking around the channel | |

| just been down to me Island and cleaned it out, the big chub are back, 6Ib +, you can just make them out, 3 all to gether. on the bridge where we put in a lot of gravel, their where a lot of baby fish, tryed to take pics, but my camour is no good, they were around 2/3" long, with 4 white spots, 2 on each side, these might be baby trout, brook trout, sea trout, thames trout, the white spots where quit prominent on each side | |
