Prudential Ride London owns the roads this weekend. If you're thinking of driving anywhere across Surrey or south-west London to go fishing this weekend, think again.

This weekend, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 July, there will be significant impact to travel as a result of the weekend of Prudential RideLondon cycling events. Certain roads and river crossings in east, central and southwest London and Surrey will be closed to traffic.

While TfL will try to maintain a normal service, many buses will be on diversion or will stop short of their destination and some may be affected by traffic displaced by road closures.

Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check before you travel as some essential upgrade works are taking place.

There will be extensive road closures on and around the routes; roads will be closed from early morning and will re-open when it is safe to do so. Pedestrian access to properties will not be affected. A number of bridges in London and Surrey will be closed at times over the weekend. Road users are advised to avoid areas near the event route wherever possible.

For full details, including event information and to know your travel options, please visit http://tfl.gov.uk/ridelondon

Reminder that the 2018 Prudential Ride London takes place this weekend 28th/29th July 2018
There will be central London road closures on Saturday 28th July and more extensive closures through south-west London and Surrey on Sunday 29th July.
Plan ahead!

You also had the Highway closed on Sunday 5th Aug, for the Triathlon . But the big one is
the Albert Embankment closed for six weeks from 2nd week in August for gas works. This makes it differcult
to get to the Tidefest at Strand on the Green in September when heading west from Hornchurch,Essex.
I am gonna have to sort another route out
