Please spread the word and pass this article on to as many contacts as possible. Getting this report prepared quickly and managing to get a National newspaper to run the story has been a huge amount of work over the last two weeks which has been led by Martin Salter and The Angling Trust for a range of Environmental organisations.

There was a letter in the Evening Standard last night demanding that all the weirs from Teddington up be removed, the river dredged, then the weirs re-instated 10 feet lower!

I've got a better idea - why don't they just build a massive concrete roof over the entire river then it would never flood again? Job done!

Paul I had you down as a clever bloke - that's a stupid idea. The boaters in their 3 layer cruisers wouldn't get any sun on them! Very Happy
