Crane Valley ConferenceUrban rivers for the futureAn event to promote the understanding of issues and opportunities relating to the River Crane and other urban river catchments and a chance to share best practice with a wide range of practitioners.
The free conference will be hosted by London Wildlife Trust on behalf of the Crane Valley Partnership.

Time: 9.30am for a 10am start
The conference will be opened by Dr Vince Cable, MP for Twickenham.
Speakers from The Environment Agency, The Zoological Society of London,The Heritage Lottery Fund, Thames Water, The Wild Trout Trust, Thames Angling, London Orchards Project, Aileen Shackell Associates and other key organisations will cover the themes of:
• Wilder Crane – the river’s wildlife and conservation.
• Cleaner Crane – pollution and related issues.
• Livelier Crane – engaging communities with their rivers.
• Productive Crane – the river’s rich industrial history and what opportunities it may offer for economic development in the future.
The new River Crane Catchment Plan will be launched on the day.
Also being launched by the Crane Valley Partnership will be the new River Crane Improvement Fund.
There will also be a chance to watch our newly commissioned film featuring the River Crane from its source in Harrow down to its confluence with the River Thames at Isleworth.
The conference is free and includes a free complimentary lunch as well as tea, coffee and light refreshments.
There will displays and information from key organisations.
