any info on conor? the last i saw him was on the banks on opening day,he was raring to go,salivating like a poachers dug.

anybody heard or seen him? maybe hes still there? Suspect

he had some nice carp in his swim so maybe he is still there. reeling them in. thats why we all blanked at the weekend there all in his spot.

i see him on friday while out with ash and rich , hes sold his all his carp gear and got feeder gear now .

100% serious guys , i was shocked too . the fish just moved on i think .
a group of noisy teenagers turned up and fished next to him , four lads total so that made 12 lines including conor and his girlfriends .
far too many in a 30yard stretch . theyre gonna do the "off" fishing margins and with that many lines through an area .....
im sure your right willie m8 , he will get back out carping again , everyone does ...

Hi all

Firstly I'm alive , had a massive row with some certain people which let's just say ended in a lot of blood and tears , I moved up a bit and had a 21lb mirror ,

I sold all my carp gear as I have over £12,000 worth of carp gear in storage and hoping to get ot all out in Aug / sept ,

I'm now on the mission for some huge barbel and chub ,

I would kindly ask everyone that saw me at Kingston to be prepared. to tell the police that i wasnt a weekend carper and i was dedicated , I doubt they will get in contact but just in case .

All I can say on why I moved is there was a certain bloke who was drugged up and spodding at 12am who now knows that I don't take kindly to people trying to intimidate kelly while I was at the shop

Yh im ok ,

Any tips on areas for the barbel mate as i don't drive so its trains or bus

Just finish3d flavouring some meat cubes (Bacon grill ) with some vindaloo sauce and just popped them into the freezer

I am a/so going to be using 12mm robin red pellets hairrigged onto a size 10 ,

Going to Target them with a heavy feeder tip and 10lb line

Any tips would be very welcome

There's lads in this club that've caught millions more barbel than me so I'll leave it to them Conor.

The one tip I am qualified to give is I caught all mine on bunches of maggot. All the people I was with last year that caught them also caught on maggot, with one (Dave) on pellet.

As for location close to you, you could do a lot worse than HC, or the exact swim where all the trouble was last week (bus stops nearby). My brothers have both caught doubles from it. We aren't going to fish there anymore (we like being tucked away) and none of my mates fish it so don't mind you knowing the swim Wink

Conner it's good to know you are ok. i have had all my barble bar one on spam(no flavour straight out the tin). i use a size 6 hook with the meat cut into match box size cubes then slip about five of these on to the hook length then slip a small stick or a peice of grass under the hook to stop it slipping off. if they are feeding it never fails. the other was on a hook full of maggots (at least 20 on a size8). HC is a good place to start.

Richard what size matchboxes do you use?
Coz if you rigged 5 of those double-compartment large matchbox size lumps of meat and used a 6/0 hook instead of size 6, I reckon you'd have about the same bait as Matt Hayes using on the Ebro for Catfish on "Lake Escapes". Might even land one too if you have strong enough tackle Very Happy

Hi Ed ain't no joke I use massive baits for boris even had chub and eels on it. Possible I had a run from a cat but snapped me up. Might sound mad but it works. Martin will back me up!!

meats a pukka bait chaps, very few people use it, even less at night
gotta concur with richards approach, had a good few eels in the midday sun in august on the tidal using it

my own experiences in years gone by were multiple catches at night at hampton court using boilies and big pellets, then the numbers I caught diminished,one or two a night, and a couple of years ago I had some red letter day sessions using 4 and 6 ml pellets

if you can get'em feeding on small baits then I think you can 'ave half a dozen or so in one session

i have witnessed Richards approach using this tactic and it works well,bits of meat falling off the line in the current leading the fish to the hook bait.it may not look to pretty but works a treat when the river is pushing through
