PostSubject: Capture of the Month - February - March 14th   Capture of the Month - February - March 14th EmptySat Feb 05, 2011 5:20 pm

At the end of each month, your club is offering a prize for the best capture of the month, it may be a single specimen, or a fantabulous session

Prizes will vary each month, depending on what we're able to lay our hands on, if we've got a few in stock, you'll get to choose what best suits you

Post your entries on here and we'll do our very best to make you smile

The winner will be put out to a forum vote. Only one entry per person!

Only post your entries on this thread please

Good luck everyone

PostSubject: That cracking barbel!   Capture of the Month - February - March 14th EmptyFri Mar 04, 2011 9:10 pm

Thanks Adrian. It was a fabulous fish and I count myself very fortunate to have caught it, especially as I wasn't really geared up for taming such a huge brute! Steve and I were 'fishing for bites' but I did keep it in mind I might hook a barbel or carp when selecting the strength line that I used. Just as well eh?!!!

It appeared in Angling Times on Page 34 but most of the references I made about the TAC had been edited out and the one they did use was incorrect. The Thames Conservancy they called us, hasn't anyone told them that organisation expired long ago...
