| Hi Richard. Well done today being the only member to show at Walton. Not sure what happened, but well done for picking up at least two more black bags full of rubbish. The Walton area was left really clean after yesterday's regatta. Considering the amount of people that was there, two bag fulls is not a bad result, when i've picked up one on a Sunday after some anglers leave the bridge swims. Thanks again for your help and hope to meet you again soon Richard. | |

| Well done all of you, give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back. I am sorry that I can't attend these litter picking day's but that's only due to being unemployed for the past 7 month's. I do however do my bit when I manage to get on the Thames with a couple of friends who drag me out kicking and screaming for a day's fishing, lol. | |

| Another great turn out for the TAC today. We had 10 adults and 5 juniors on our litter pick from Ham Car Park up to Teddington Lock. We collected 10 big bin bags of rubbish from the river bank and also cleared 2 fallen trees from the pathway along our way. Well done everyone who put in the time, effort and good spirit this morning,it is much appreciated as usual. Also a big thankyou to Danny the Lock Keeper for making tea and letting all the juniors meet his wonderful Peregrine Falcon. Ready to go A fallen tree No messing about, cleared out the way A bigger fallen tree Cleared out the way too Good work lads RUNNING TOTAL:135 BAGS FILLED | |

| As per Jim's post above - all this was collected from the bank of the Thames at Platts Eyot, Sunbury. Great effort lads, none of it was angling rubbish but it was cleared by anglers. Port Hampton lease the river bank and car park of Platts Eyot from Thames Water. 3 Port Hampton employees including the site manager come over when these pics were taken to thank the TAC. | |

| I only got there at the end so no credit due me but well done to Jim and all those that did clear this rubbish. Incidentally....addressed to Jim and Dave...this is on land that comes under Richmond council. The very same council that have blanked us on the illegal houseboaters at Teddington. May be worth in due course showing them what anglers have done on land under their remit where all other sections of society have ignored it, including roughly 50 boaters moored on that island | |

| Nice one. I noticed you'd made an impact last time we went down the Ember.
I was at the committee meeting of our local Scout group the other night, and there was talk about getting more involved in the community. Someone suggested doing a litter clear-up along the Thames or Crane. I said, "funny you should mention that, because there's this fishing club I'm a member of who are very keen on that and organise regular clear-up days, I will ask if perhaps we could go along."
So what do you think? Could a group of young Cubs and Scouts be useful, say on 27th Feb for example, or would they be a bit too young and become more of a hindrance, after all it is likely to be quite a heavyweight session.
I know much of the Crane is in dire need of a clear-up, if I get them organised could they borrow the TAC picker-upper-gadgets? I think the troop already has a supply of reflective jackets. What else do I need to be aware of organising this kind of thing, what do you do about really large stuff?

| think the 27th wont be suitable for youngsters buddy, to many opportunities for accidents
we'd love to assist you with the crane idea, litter pickers and heavy weight bin bags are yours, glove wise we've only got adult sizes take a carp porter to move heavy objects and give a simple health and safety chat
email admin@rivertac buddy and we'll sort it out | |
