| Following on from last years sucessful Pike Handling day, we are running it again but in a slightly different format.
The first one we had the fish pre caught and ready to handle, this time it is a fishing event where you can bring your Pike rods and gear down, get some advice on setting up the rigs, and hopefully try and catch one. If you have a lure rod and want to try with that, bring it down.
The EA will be providing a few coaches for the day along with the members of PAC. If anyone else who is a Pike expert wants to come down and assist and give advice, please let us know.
The fish-in is going to be held at Walton Bridge again, plenty of parking as always.
Be good to hear from the Pike experts on here as to recommended rods, line etc.
Cheers

| Need to get going on this, Dave has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes but he can't do everything! The PAC boys are going to take care of a fair bit of it but what other jobs do we need to think about?
- Design a poster and distribute around local tackle shops - I thought might be good if some example rigs were tied up and attached to a bit of board to illustrate how they work? - Man the TAC stand during the day - Lots of other stuff I'm sure?

| The EA will be providing coaches on the day as well, the more expertise the better, Simon G has offered help and gratefully accepted sir, will be in touch.
There will be a rig clinic on the day as Ed has mentioned, hoping to get a few lure collections down as well.

| Quick bump on this event It is a few weeks away but put it in your dairy. If you fish for Pike but want to learn more about the rigs and have someone around to help in handling, then come on down. Bring your rods, deads baits or lures and give it go. We will be at Walton Bridge from 08:00 until 14:00 Hope to see you there | |

| It is slightly different format from last year, no Pike pre caught, its a chance to learn a bit more about fishing for them with your own rods. I may even dust off a lure rod myself Hopefully some will be caught, then the experts show how not to loose a finger | |

| A big up to Oli for knocking up a great poster to advertise the Pike day. Thanks to Ron's (Sheen) and Percy Chapman's (Twickenham) for putting them up in their shop windows. Anyone who is visiting any other local tackle shops this week and has the ability to print one out properly please PM me and I will send you the .PDF file version to print and distribute. + Also now in window at: - Walton Tackle Exchange
- Weybridge Guns & Tackle

| Reminder this is Sunday Hope to see lots of you there, Pike anglers or not, having a go. If your kids have not tried chucking a lure around or wobbling a dead bait, then here is your chance | |

| The EA have kindly provided some goodie bags for any juniors that come along, which includes a lure, if not many kids then a few for the old'uns. We have some long nose forceps as well to go with them Lets hope they get some use | |

| Great stuff Keith, thanks for the effort. Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow morning and plenty of toothy critters being caught. Coaches from the EA are coming along and the PAC boys, so lots of effort has gone into getting this arranged. And of course its free. Will have some TAC fleece hats and t-shirts if anyone has not got one, and would like one. | |
