Not sure if Mechanical boat mass weed cutting is carried out on the Thames or other rivers in the area or around the country. Would be interested to know of any that takes place.
The EA are certainly doing this in Kent on the Stour and some anglers are up in arms about it as the water level has dropped to a critical point in some areas leaving gravels exposed, thus killing off the Macro Invertebrates (food for Fish etc), and putting fish stocks and others in danger.
I have just put up a vid on You Tube highlighting the problem to what happens, sort off like. https://www.youtube.com/user/rollingpinboy#p/a/u/0/JeIvqo9rDhg

I'm no expert on the Thames & it's flora, but I've never noted seeing Ranunculus on the lower sections I've fished.

Even if you didn't know anything about the subject, you could tell that machine was up to no good - it just looks so evil & out of place.

nice one for posting this up, the close up shots towards the end, make me glad that I dont live in weed, 'cause not only would I be homeless, I'd be mashed by those paddles

ray walton is a man before his time, I hold him in the highest of esteem, and like other people before their time, they suffer marginilasation, ridicule and threats

check the footage out, check the man out,'cause he's checking out whats happening to our rivers
