When the tunnel is up and running, will Thames Water re-stock the river to replace the fish they have killed.

Yes I read that in the paper last night, quick search just now - BBC has picked up on it - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-14348485

Sounds to me like their normal sewers were not built by Bazalgette, they are falling apart.
US Water news 2004: http://www.uswaternews.com/archives/arcquality/4milwsewa7.html
Last sentence says it all: "We have so disrupted water hydrology that if you're a rain drop, you can't find a place to fall and get into the ground like you are supposed to," he said.

council leader lord true
lord truely full of bull sh*t
richmond council is the only council along the whole upstream length of the river thames, from its boundaries, that is unable to converse with its neighbouring councils to get illegally moored boats moved on or dealt with,
and now it can converse with the councils downstream to allow our river to be continually poisoned

sort out this dickheads address and I'll use the royal mail to deliver my sh*t to his front door, and I mean that most sincerely folks

thames water winning the pr battle, they've had 30 years to prepare

it would be good if we could find out how much it costs to treat one million tons of sewage
then we could multiply it by the amount they release untreated into the thames, 39 million and ask for a refund

Next phase of the consultation will start at the end of October, later than expected. There had been an indication that this would happen, but here is confirmation of the fact.

nice one ed, I'm assuming I can post it up, as its in the public domain

114 palewell park, east sheen, SW14 8JH

if anyone wishes to correspond with this council leader, please feel free to make him aware of your opinions,
however I must make it clear that I in no way wish to encourage anyone to parcel up some poo, and post it to him,
nor do I wish to encourage any clandestine toilet emptying into his front garden or car

I'm more than capable of doing it myself, watch this space folks

so what about filling a bucket with the stuff that lurks near james annear

surely delivering a sample is acceptable, a knock on the door, an explanation of where its come from, and a request to test it for pathogens, is all perfectly legal
apart from which, lord truely full of bullsh*t, needs to be made aware of the strength of feeling amongst anglers, and when that strength of feeling is at your front door, its difficult to ignore it

come on folks, all suggestions on how we can turn up the gas on the councils opposed to the tunnel are wanted/needed

Good to see someone as high profile as Boris is fully behind the Tunnel....gives confidence that something might actually be done about it.
