The last week has been really bad in the lower at Barnes last thursday morning it was full of turds on the up tide after rain if there was a film crew there it would of been the perfect advert
for what they are pumping in there I took some shots and will try to post
I must say this season has been the best for years in spite of sewage spills and the plant life is everywhere but is spoilt by the litter caught up in it I push all the rubbish up the slip and there must be 7 inches of silt which was not there at the start of the season ,again will try to post shots .when viewed really close the debris is full of micro plastic /polystyrene which is never going to be picked up it is depressing cheers all

Cheers Jeff,
We had notification of a discharge the day before (Wednesday 6th) and also again on Sunday 10th/Monday 11th but those are only Hammersmith and Mogden, we only receive figures for the other pumping stations (Lots Road and Western) later, and then there are all the other unmonitored CSOs...

Looking forward to those photos  Evil or Very Mad

Photos from Jeff:
these are just some pics from the slip at Barnes the litter has been bad, I am starting to film the litter and hopefully my son will make up some sort of link to put out on the web.  Thousands of cotton buds, tampon applicators, plastic you name it.
I have spoke to the environment agency and said I classed it as pollution, they said they are only liable for blocked water-ways, streams etc
I have pushed loads up the slip way out of tides reach, it is bad that all the companys thames water, plastic producers do not have a system to clear up these areas.
some sewage pics too not that clear but all turds I can assure you.
I was going to send this to you on wed I'm glad I did not the site that greeted me on Thurs was the worst I have seen, I will send pics they must of let a load of sewage go very early on thurs {no rain}.
Also more litter pics I point out to people that it is all turds they don't seem to care or totally disgusted.
thanks for your input, Jeff.

Drove through Strand on the Green yesterday Ed,tide was out so I could not resist walking the foreshore.Iron is about £120 tonne scrap value and in 100 yards there was tonnes of it,with this was mixed centuries of broken plates, glass bottles, tyres etc, etc.Londoners have been using the river as a dumping since it was called Londinium. You would have thought in this age we would have had a authority to clear the river up and maybe George Michael most of it.
