I was at the Wandle today, London Road/Mill Green Road in Mitcham and it absolute stank!! It smelt like an open sewer. I couldn't see any 'waste' floating down. Has anyone else seen or smelt anything?

Maybe it was just carrying a lot of dirty ground/surface water?

I spoke to the EA and reported it who then gave me a reference number.

Fingers crossed it's ok as this is a fragile little river.

Well done Andrew, spot on getting it reported in even if it turns out to be nothing. They should have given a reference so follow up if you dont hear back.

I just checked the Wandle Trust website and Twitter and nothing up there, good news of sort and as you say, a fragile and recovering river.
