| Have just heard on the grape vine, that a bridge on the Thames has been badly damaged, and has to be re-placed, all I know is that it is a bridge in Surrey(ish), any one got idears | |

| No idea mate, not heard of any closures so could be a footbridge, such at the one at Teddington, Chinese bridge at Walton? | |

| Sonning bridge has been shut due to floods and Pangbourne toll bridge is being taken down at the moment to be replaced maybe one of these and the rumour mill??? | Talk on boating forum of Chertsey bridge reopening this morning then closing straight away due to possible structural damage namely a crack....anyone know anymore?? | |

| A big cruiser got wedged under it a week or so ago, so that could have caused the damage. However the news article said it was checked by a structural engineer and given the all-clear, so can't see how it has become damaged since then, unless the engineer didn't do a very good job or damage only took hold afterwards, or possibly flood water damage has occurred since. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-surrey-20921023 | |
