| Misconnections are the scourge of our rivers and are everywhere, often called diffuse pollution. They may only cause low level pollution but any pollution is bad. Here is a bit more info http://www.thameswater.co.uk/help-and-advice/8198.htmWalked my local Hogsmaill and spotted this, a classic case of a washing machine or some other domestic appliance flowing direct into the surface water sewer Called the EA hotline on 0800 807060, ref 1075775 | |

| Interesting, I admit when I heard this publicised on the radio a couple of weeks ago I assumed this was a case of big business blaming consumers for minor issues in order to deflect fire from their own misdemeanours. I stand corrected! | |

| Feedback from the EA: 'Definitely looks like a misconnection or blocked foul. I'll raise a hotspot request with Thames Water which means that that it'll be added to the list of outfalls for them to investigate. It doesn't look like it'll be having a major impact on the watercourse as it is intermittent and doesn't contain solids, but if it gets any worse please report it again and we'll raise its priority.' Keep em peeled folks | |
