For the past couple of years, Wandle Trust Chairman Theo Pike has been working on a book about urban river restoration, fly-fishing and the charity sector.

"Trout in Dirty Places" will be officially published at the beginning of April, and it's already receiving very favourable reviews and features in the national press.

Theo describes it as a snapshot of the state of urban river restoration in the UK at the start of the 21st century, as well as the first-ever guide to fishing these formerly-polluted city streams.

The book includes interviews with conservationists working on more than 50 urban rivers across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, plus more than 200 full-colour photos, and a foreword by Charles Rangeley-Wilson, President of the Wild Trout Trust. As you might expect, the Wandle features prominently, as well as many other Trout in the Town projects!

To celebrate the launch of "Trout in Dirty Places", Theo has arranged a signing evening on Thursday 5 April, from 7 - 10pm in the upper room of the William Morris in Merton Abbey Mills, where he will be signing and selling copies of this exciting new book.
