| Shows you how on the ball the Thames EA Fisheries team is.... Just had a call on my mobile from one of them saying "I've heard you're going fishing tonight on the tidal but just to warn you there's going to be a discharge of sewage this evening from Mogden and you might want to rethink your location!" I've just got value for money on my rod licence in one phone call! (By the way, they've got a team member up all night monitoring the river and the bubbler boat is on standby.) | |

| whoever,s out fishing tonight, be careful, that lightning was really low this afternoon, not really a time to be waving carbon rods about. | |

| Oxygen levels dropped on the tidal following a big sewage dump last night but the levels are recovering this morning and the EA feel the river should be OK. | |

| Snap decision to head down to Barnes then Kew with Ed, had plenty of torrential rain so expected Hammersmith and Modgen to go, and they have. Not much too see but a notable stink coming off the river, plenty of sewage litter, sanitary towels etc and a few of these Thames 'Jelly Fish' | |

| Was just thinking about this Dave, and was going to ask if anyone was out, it would have gone in roughly at full low tide, there's an incoming tide about now, so potential for it to move through to the semi? | |

| Yes thats the worry Robin, how far up. It was tanking in and the high is in a an hour. On the plus side it is on a big tide so gives the hope it dilutes the intensity, much more water as such. I will drop the EA guys an email to see if the dissolved oxygen has dropped. | |

| Update.
The dissolved Oxygen (DO) did fall but only to 30% whilst whilst not good, 10% and below is where its gets very serious.
The Vitality oxygenating boat was called out as looked is if Monday was going to be very wet again but it missed London.
Thanks again to the EA team for keeping us informed | |
