| wot a good day I and many others had today, OK, the big ums were on strike, and refused to play ball, but the pike had a good day entertaining the children, I had a 25Ib(ish), on the end of my 2 1/2Ib hook length, for 3mins, until he/she bit though it, and took my record breaking 4Ib roach with it, never mind, one can only dream, thank you Les for letting us use your very nice place for the day | |

| a fab man, let us use his fab lake, and we had a fab time
the carp didnt play ball due to the youngsters running the banks, but boy did the youngsters have fun and catch plenty of silvers, with the added excitement of watching a pike sitting in the swim waiting for its dinner to be delivered, it didn't go hungry as it took plenty of the youngsters fish, leroy decided to catch it, which proved the easiest feat of the day, and it took ages to recover thoroughly before sulking nearby
best fish of the day went to chris, 6 12oz tench on paste, the pawn broker pellet rig failed miserably, but his home made bread pudding went home with les to be enjoyed with custard that evening, I think chris's benchmark bread pudding will take some beating
trevor managed to wind in a carp scale, [size of your middle finger nail] after a right old tussle and hook pull on his silverfish gear
so to sum up, the weather was pukka for catching, the environment delightful, but the fish didn't like the disturbance solution another visit, well maybe two, one with youngsters and one without
a mahoosive thanks to all that attended for upholding the TAC standards, and guranteeing a repeat visit martin for the pukka pics, and especially the youngsters, many of whom were left to their own devices for most of the day, only needing us oldies for tangles etc | |
