| I'd be happy to do the stretch around Richmond Lock and in fact have already moved 3 close season 'anglers' on since 14th March. | |

Saw one of the PLA launches motor over to the bank to tell a couple of lads fishing to pack up - just up from you in Richmond. Was very good to see

| Excellent Steve, glad it's getting noticed. We've had a change in river patrol staff recently and while it's not strictly their remit, they are far more receptive to anglers' issues than previously. You can be sure they've been briefed on close season dates, number of rods and anything else I can think of..... | |

| Did the entire length of the river between H.C Bridge and Kew Bridge, both banks where possible over the weekend, NOT an angler insight, not even a trout fisherman! Plenty of other "river" users around though, not all of them afloat. | |

the EA aren't the quickest of organisations, so lets crack on until they catch up
please observe the current recommendations issued by the EA regarding illegal activities on the river

| Monday PM - KEW BRIDGE TO KINGSTON - South Side Tow path
Only anglers on the stretch were the two legged, feathered kind.
Wish Id had my camera with me as seeing a cormorant and a heron in the same tree was a first!

| walked from the halfmile tree to teddington yesterday morning
the sofabed is in the margins, the overhanging trees have pockets of litter in them that has drifted down on the current the illegally moored boaters are still creating a mess, and it seems the season of DIY is upon us, with the subsequent disposal of used materials and chemicals

| half mile tree to teddington lock yesterday
figured it'd be good to check over our activities from the weekend
the area looked pretty much as we left it, although some of the illegally moored boats had shuffled around
a big up to kingston council for collecting the sofabed we pulled out of the margins last sunday

| Down at the boat club today and the chairman said he saw 4 fishing the mouth of the Mole early am today, 2 opposite Thames Ditton marina on Friday. Both times he told them it was out of season whilst rowing past.
Walked walked cigarrete island and Aragon just now and only day trippers around. Just come back past the marina and have seen no one, stopped at all the relevant places.
The club are sending a report to the EA on Tuesday after the long weekend, so if you are out and see anything good or bad, please post it up

a big up to kingston council for collecting the sofabed we pulled out of the margins last sunday Spoke to an EA inspector chappy before he departed on his patrol boat from Abingdon this morning whilst walking the dogs and he said that the ones they had ticketed earlier there and other spots on the river would be starting legal process and should see them in court around Sept when they intend to apply to remove boats ,big up the EA if thats what happens still sceptical face . Seen some big carp taking bread from peoples feeding the ducks on a couple of spots on our journey ,we are out on the river till Monday and the flow seems to be slowing around here but claritry slightly improving so maybe the bloom is clearing Steve.

Still got it down river but good news it's clearing up there. Any one know of any more fish deaths from the 'bloom + low rainfall + hot weather = low oxygenation'?

| Working with the EA to install ' No fishing during the close season / Rod licence required ' signage on local council sign posts in parks / hot spot areas where the Thames runs through Windsor and Maidenhead.
Regularly patrolling the Thames path and Jubilee river whilst heading from Windsor to Wraysbury on the mountain bike. Plenty of evidence of poaching activity but not actually seen anyone in the act, suspect they are night fishing.

| from the half mile tree to teddington yesterday morning, everything was as you'd expect, except a barge has decided to discharge its load of assorted timber and metal for re-organising fair play they have marked it with traffic cones
yesterday I saw a person on a bicycle with a rod heading to molesey, I think it was the fella who asked about it on fishermans blues
