Just to let you know people, Defra have put out a consultation that entitles every person to make comment regarding what they see as their personal priority in terms of shaping the future of the natural environment. As well as an extensive document that many angling organisations will be responding to (Inc. the TAC), there is a survey/comments page that will take a few minutes of your time if you just wish to make it known that you care for your environment, namely as an angler.

You don't have to give them technical answers, but just let them know that you are an angler and that you are basically concerned for your sport and the environment. The more anglers that pass comment, the greater chance we have of Defra listening and incorporating the suggestions made by angling groups such as Angling Trust etc. when they are submitted.
