| all pipes are working, water flowing in and out
can some kind of wire mesh be put into the hole of the first part of the trap, big anuff to let the elvers in, but stops the crabs from getting in | |

| There was 1 eel @ 85 in the trap 3 crabs and we found 2 eels at 95 on the spillway just crawling around in the wet algae. Nice to see Ed and Matthew. River looks good nice bit of flow on it and an inch or so more water.

| Joe says that the eels on the spillway do not count unfortunately. But we did at least help them on their way upstream, safe from seagulls (until the next weir). Plenty of flow coming down the pass + both syphons still running well  Monster crap met his maker  One little eel  | |

| We were out for a bike ride and passed the lock this afternoon, so stopped in and checked the trap. Fixed the biro as well. 3 eels, 1@ 70mm, 1@ 75mm, 1@ 90mm 2 crabs, one small on the inner trap, one larger one in the outer part. Have been entered on ZSL database

| Went down there with Nicola today and there were 2 eels 1@ 80 and 1 @ 95. There were no invasive species on show. Haven't sent the data to the z.s.l. As the link in Eds post appears as a full stop on my platform. Can you re post it? Or is Dave still passing it on? | |

| Ed we had a bit of a result yesterday insofar as 21 eels were captured. Dave has a record of the measurements so I wont list them all here. There was also a tiny bullhead which was quite nice. We haven't had a crab in the trap for the last 3 visits, at least that's what the records show, mayhaps they are getting the message. Nice morning out good to see Dave again, the river is starting to get busy now lots of boats transiting the lock. | |
