Lots of Chub up to about 2 pound which is great all seem in good condition loads of fry everywhere I am working above the river and get a birds eye view of the river lots of sewage on the up tide must be from Hammersmith its not nice it seems to cling to the shore and move up very slowly I am keeping an eye out to make sure it is not coming out of another source.
I will attempt to attach photos

cheers

Are these fish you've caught, or fish you've been watching Jeffery?

Reason I ask is they may be mullet if you've been watching from afar, rather than seeing up close in your hands - of course, they look similar in the water with the white mouths. About 2lb would be the right kind of size for mullet that far up as well.

Mullet would be much more exciting obviously than chub and they do come up that far - plus there's been loads caught further downstream in the last few weeks.

If you've been catching them and they're definitely chub then fair enough... Smile

There were 2 sewage discharges from Hammersmith over the weekend, and probably from others like Lots Road and Western but we don't get emails from those, we only get the volumes some weeks later. I need to update the page.

Cheers Jef for getting these,  eyes and ears mate, really helps.

I was in contact with the EA water quality guys as concerned that the heavy rain on Saturday combined with a low tide and lower flows going over Teddington could have caused a serious problem but luckily was ok.

Primed at the moment and your pics give a great idea of what's going on.

Def worth keeping a close eye on, especially if no rain, could be something very broken.

Also if it keeps doing it no harm in reporting to the EA hotline.

Cheers
