Hi all - anybody know if they are planning on extending the run off at all ? As I'm sure they have not managed to fix the weir / lock or whatever they do each year , with the extra floodwater etc . It's looking very dangerous out there at the moment !!
Has anyone heard anything at all ?

It's actually so high the level would maintain above statutory minimum without the weirs. They'd be left be left fully up until the level drops off.

At present every gate & roller on the non-tidal is fully up and the level is still rising.

Draw off ends 9 Dec midday ish. You may not notice the difference.....

I should think it will extend way past that as no work has been done on the locks and weird that I know of !

It was a bit weird last night fishing the tidal, followed it half way out and then it started rising again. I almost finished fishing where I had started, and that was in the space of 5hrs, the only difference was the effluence which joined me on the up! Urgh!! :-(
I take it they are playing with the barrier?

No plans to extend the draw off, bulk of essential works completed & the remainder on schedule.
