Yes mate, won't be sampling the Thames though, a drive to a , car spaces if not driving.

One point of note for all, the sampled area is muddy and the EA room very clean, so if not bringing waders then a change of shoe please.

cheers

Where we'll be sampling wellies would normally be OK. If the water is too high for wellies, they'll be spare waders you can use no worries.

hi all
john lesurf and myself travelled from sx to take part in the riverfly monitoring training to use on our 4 miles of river roding we look after for our club. the river is in flood 2mtrs up instead of 300mm or we would have gone straight there instead we had a nice meal in the pub formley called the ferry boat inn. it was unusual to see stoneloach, bullhead, dace and chubb fry in the fast shallow water. while kick sampling john had a large bullhead with a dace fry in his mouth which was taken head first. we all know fish eat fish however when we see something like this it is surprising.
message for steve holmes: John liked the M25 it was so clear we flew home. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Can I say a very big thanks to Dave, Ed and Steve for organising a great day today. Not only was it extremely informative but I also thoroughly enjoyed myself. Pats on the back all 'round.

A couple of things.

First, John (Leisure): you forgot to take your information pack, including your certificate. To avoid it going astray, or bring thrown away, I've taken it home for safe keeping.

Second, someone left behind their 'Gelert' rucksack in the conference room. It's red and black and, to aid identification, contains amongst other items, a partly completed Daily Telegraph crossword! Again, I've taken it with me.
