PostSubject: Water Resources Management Plan 2014 (WRMP14)   Water Resources Management Plan 2014 (WRMP14) EmptyWed Mar 21, 2012 10:57 pm

We attended the first 'Water Resources Forum' 2 weeks ago relating to Thames Waters management plan for the next 25 years.

All the resource documentation is here http://www.thameswater.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/corp/hs.xsl/5373.htm

It was interesting as have read elsewhere about this drought and why the riverS have not been protected, why the planning has possibly been wrong and why no angler involvement.

Well this changes it, we were there along with the Trust and the likes of ARK. Think the point being is you can stamp your feet from the outside, and get nothing done, or go through the door and attempt to influence from the inside. Or least least try our very best Smile

Below are the minutes published online today

Cheers

Thanks again Dave for attending, and for providing the minutes which when read showed a
valulable insight to the inner workings of these oganisations, its good to see Martin and Mark in attendance asking the right questions. So its been forty years since a new reservior has been built by TW, with the ongoing
increase in the population and water consumtion of the the south east it makes one wonder.

Not much space left to build new resevoirs, everywhere is filled up with houses and people, perhaps they will have to buy some CEMEX pits and knock them together into one big one.
