Bream is one thing I don't want to get known for! What's worked for me is plastic casters on the hook, real casters/crumb in an open feeder. Plastic due to all the small fish - the tidal is one big nursery ground for many species - then you've got the prawns and crabs to attack real bait aswell. Andy if you do make it will run you back home no worries.

| SteveH will know for certain, but i think you can park in Grove park rd, regarding the meeting point, i think the slipway, just to the left of the railway bridge, is best. james | |

| Hello lads am not sure about the parking situation on the rest of Grove Park Rd but best place to park is Grove Park Rd on the bit I've marked below, where the road bends round...is free. | |

| Enjoy chaps I used to fish it in the late 90's, every week. We caught bream, dace, roach, carp, sea trout etc etc. Used to wade in up to my waist, loads of brown crumb in a bucket, red maggot on the hook, big stick float.....great fun. The weather doesn't seem to affect the fishing either. Once fished in the bitter cold in January on the pole and running line, had lots of bream and dace. Its quite shallow opposite the island, deeper either side. The pegs right outside the pub by the railway bridge always produced for us, but I guess there's fish all the way through... Will try and pop down. Lawman | |

| Zero rain forecast between now and then, so no sewage release from Mogden to ruin our day If any members reading this fancy it but haven't fished the tidal or feel they don't know anyone, it doesn't matter - come down and fish. If you own a rod, a reel, a bankstick and a swimfeeder you've got what you need. Feel free to ask any questions about fishing the tidal and the boys on here will answer gladly. Everyone's very welcoming to new members and coming along to these fish-ins is how those of us who know each other, got to know each other. And for those blanking on the non-tidal, it's highly likely you'll catch fish | |

| dont forget the thermal under crackers as its going to be a chilly 1. perhaps a popped up dead bait might be worth a go with this frost to try and avoid those pesky crabs. | |

| I popped along for a chat about midday. There were about 10 fishing and a couple of others also just hanging about. No fish had been caught but a couple of knocks had been had. Tthey were still waiting for the tide to bottom out. Lovely day to be out, not as cold as you might have expected.
One of the lads must have been seriously peeved when a flotilla of about 20 canoes went through his lines and beached in front pof the pub.
