| Congratulations to Andy Shaw on his fantastic Carp and a worthy winner. Here is the picture and report, well done mate  Managed a couple of pics before the real downpour set in baited a few areas then had to make a run for cover (no brolly No ).. sat in a local cafe drying out and waiting for the rain to stop, headed back to the river and found a group of small commons sitting in the bait i had left so lowered a bait between them and sat back, half hour passed and nothing had happened then the line slightly twitched and tightened up, to be fair i kind of bullied this carp thinking it was one of the low doubles i had seen, then it rolled on the surface and i nearly fell over, quickly loosened the clutch and let it run me ragged, and it did to... what seemed like an hour and after the 3rd attempt i slipped the net under a new thames PB 31.02 common... | |

| Sorry Andy I voted for Dimber's grassie as it was so close to the Thames record and a double rare fish.....but yours was an absolute stunner and a very well deserved winner. Sets a cracking standard.
